cast-iron-garden-urn

Throughout the late19th century in fashionable Boston and New York this remarkable piece was a symbol of status. There is an identical specimen in the Museum of Modern Art. Made in Ohio in 1884. Noteworthy for its exceptionally fine relief ornament in floral scrolls and with classic ribbing. Standing 30" or 77cm. This cast iron piece is hand painted in National Trust white, black or green or at additional cost to special requirements. The effect of such a pair at an important entrance is impressive.
